Madelyn S. Turner is a certified canine fitness trainer, licensed massage therapist, and Oregon Native. She’s been working with animals for over two decades as a trainer, massage therapist, and handler. She owns three Border Collies and works them in herding, agility, obedience and nose work. She’s also an avid hiker and enjoys getting outside regardless of the weather, but especially when she can be joined by one of her canine partners!
Her training philosophy focuses on the relationship and teamwork between handler and canine. She works with dogs and their handlers to ensure the dogs have the strength and agility they need for daily living and sports such as agility, dock diving, and herding. Her expertise in canine massage includes human and small animals and in the past decade she has specialized in working with canine athletes. She was the team massage therapist for the American Kennel Club team at the world agility championship fall of 2018.
The training needed to provide appropriate strengthening exercises for canine athletes has given her over a decade of experience in teaching her human clients how to set clear expectations using shaping and positive reinforcement techniques to get the requested behavior! As a result she has been invited to lead seminars in canine fitness across the state of Oregon!
Mrs. Turner is certified through Northwest School of Animal Massage, and licensed in the State of Oregon #13620 and Washington #MA60066000. Insured by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She is also a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer through University of Tennessee and FitPaws Master Trainer.
